ABB Bomem (Canada) Bomemmanufacture a range of FTIR, FTNIR and Process Analytical Technology (PAT) products.
The Bomem name has long been associated with a wide variety of analytical
products and systems geared to both the process and research/laboratory
markets.
Furthermore as part of ABB, Bomem and B.E.S.T can offer complete systems
solutions. No longer are we only instrument suppliers, but utilising the
global strengths of ABB we can supply complete systems solutions from control
software through interfacing, down to the instrument level. This ensures
that the end user gets a turn-key solution to the lab problem at hand, or the
in line implementation of a complex system which includes interfacing and
complete system control software, all from one supplier taking overall systems
responsibility. No other manufacturer can offer this level of service and
support for lab or in line applications. So your choice is simple. Work
with one global supplier or take the risk and try and weave numerous other
systems together risking being left in no mans land between systems! We
believe the ABB approach offers piece of mind. The new MB3000 Low Price FTIR system

Solutions for Lab Applications. Our product versatility will surprise you!
COMING SOON. The FTLA2000 - PH20 Research and development FTIR / FTNIR series. Special products for the pharmaceutical market. MB Pharma Click on FTIR / FTNIR Accessories at left for more information on the sampling accessories for pharmaceutical applications.
Raw material identification takes only 5 to 10 seconds per sample, requires no
sample preparation and can be performed by unskilled operators in the
laboratory or at the receiving dock.
Solids and liquids can be analyzed through plastic bags and glass containers
to avoid sample cross-contamination, accessory cleaning and cleaning procedure
validation.
The use of powerful discrimination algorithms, like Partial Least Squares (PLS),
virtually eliminates false positive identification (typical probability 1 in 1
billion) when identifying like materials. The MB Pharma can analyze solid samples in diffused reflectance mode by
either using the hand-held fiber optics probe, for remote sampling, or by
using the Powder Samplir main compartment accessory. Liquids can be identified
with the disposable glass vial sampling accessory. FTLA PHARMA Click on FTIR / FTNIR Accessories at left for more information on the sampling accessories for pharmaceutical applications. FTLA PHARMA NIR analyzer can analyze coated and uncoated tablets, caplets, capsules, gelcaps, etc. in less than a minute!
Results can be fully correlated to compendial assay methods while providing
better repeatability. Content uniformity analysis can normally be performed
with very high precision (<2% relative) for tablets with API concentration
as low as 0.5%.
Analysis requires no sample preparation, can be performed by unskilled
operators, and can be automated using a 30-sample carousel. Both active
ingredient and excipient concentrations can be measured in a single analysis. Special products for other food and hydrocarbon markets The FTLA2000 - CH10 Oleochem IR for series of FTIR / FTNIR for edible oil manufacturer.
Optimize oleochemical and edible oil or fat production by rapid on-site
analysis
ABB’s FTLA2000-CH10 Oleochemir Analyzer is an accurate, reliable and
easy-to-use analyzer for the QA of oils and fats, either during processing or
for final product qualification. It combines the analysis of Iodine Value (IV)
and %Trans in a single measurement step. Analysis is performed using
disposable vials, which eliminates sample cell cleaning. The measurement time
is only 1 minute after the sample has reached constant measurement
temperature.
The FTLA2000 - CH20 HOVAL analyser for polyol producers. The HOval analyzer is supplied as a complete (calibrated) QA / QC analyzer, designed to provide an accurate transfer standard for certified chemical testing procedures (such as OH value). Our customers are mostly polyols producers. The HOval can be operated by plant personnel without training in analysis.
Furthermore, it validate each analysis so as to minimize the probability of
incorrect analysis results. It is designed to function as a multi-procedure
analyzer capable of performing many different analyses. Special products for Process Analytical Technology ( PAT) applications FTPA 2000-200 Multi Point FTIR OnLine Analyser A multi-point, multi-stream FTIR analyzer. Designed for remote, real-time monitoring of continuous and batch processes. Our spectrometers provides information needed for process optimization in the refining, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, semiconductor and other industries.
Real-time monitoring of chemical composition and physical properties is key to
providing tight control of industrial processes.

The Dryer Monitor uses near-infrared spectroscopy to perform real-time quality control. In-line measurements are done with a diffuse reflectance insertion probe and data are treated by the state-ofthe- art FTSW100 process control software. Drying profiles can be displayed on a local console and in the control room; they provide the manufacturer an increased insight into the drying process. Reductions in drying time exceeding 30% have already been achieved through implementation of this solution. In addition, issues associated with offline analyses such as operator exposure to potent drugs, cross-contamination sample degradation and product storage are eliminated. The Dryer Monitor provides direct information on product attributes (moisture and solvent content) as opposed to inferential process measurements. The technique is fully automated, non-destructive and allows performing dry product release without the need for additional assays. The ABB Dryer Monitor is delivered with detailed Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operation Qualification (OQ) protocols. It satisfies all relevant current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements as well as local safety regulations and can be operated in a 21 CFR Ch11 fully compliant environment. The system is ATEX-certified for use in a gas and dust classified environment (zone 0, zone 20). In addition to a robust and accurate process control system, customers who choose the Dryer Monitor benefit from ABB’s experience and know-how for analyzer implementation in a pharmaceutical environment For more information click on the dryer monitor click on this link ABB FTPA2000-PH40 Dryer Monitor
